I have a degree in biology, did my dissertation at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg and have been Scientific Manager of the Network for Aging Research at Heidelberg University since 2007. I also have a master's degree in gerontology and in bioethics. My research interests include attitudes towards dementia, knowledge about dementia and self-confidence in caring for people with dementia. I have also investigated the impact of bilingualism on dementia and I am working on the moral evaluation of genetic technologies and on genetic counseling in dementia. Since the DeSign project started in November 2022, I have been learning German Sign Language so that I can slowly communicate with our deaf partners.

I hold a Ph.D in Affective neuroscience obtained from the University of Sheffield UK and currently I am conducting post doctoral research about dementia knowledge and dementia screening in the Deaf at the University of Heidelberg- Network Ageing Research. I work as a neuropsychologist in Greek Alzheimer Association with over 10 years of experience, whereas I am Lecturer in the Psychology Deaprtment of the University of Western Macedonia. Moreover, I represent Greek Alzheimer Association in European research teams, such as Roche company, and EU and International Conferences. My research interests include early detection of dementia, adaptation of neuropsychological assessment in Greek language, implementation of cognitive training sessions, dementia training, assessing dementia knowledge, dementia screening in the Deaf Greek older adults, as well as implementing raising awareness sessions in the Deaf. Additionally, I am working in the Design project on behalf of the Greek Alzheimer Association, in that context I have started learning Greek Sign language in order to communicate with the Deaf community as well as join their culture.

I am a psychologist and I an accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist. I have strong ties with the Greek Deaf Community and use the Greek Sign Language on everyday bases since 2005. I have been working with Deaf clients as a threrapist for more than 10 years and I also worked in reserch projects about dementia for 5 years. My research interests include mental health in the Deaf community, accessibility of the Deaf in mental health services and dementia in the Deaf community. I am responsible for the management of the Erasmus+ "De-Sign" project for the Deaf Club "EKVE"

I am a speech and language therapist with a bachelor's degree and a gerontologist with a master's degree, specialising in dementia and people with hearing impairment. My Master's thesis was about dementia in deaf people and how they can get better healthcare in Germany. I started learning German Sign Language (GSL) during my Masters in Cologne and I'm still learning it.Today I work in the Network for Ageing Research at the University of Heidelberg, where I am currently writing my PhD thesis. I'm part of the German research team of the 'De-Sign' project. Together with my colleagues I analyse our findings, communicate with hearing and deaf people and develop course materials to raise awareness about dementia in the deaf community in Germany.

I am Psychologist and completed my degree in psychology at the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck (Bachelor) and the University of Vienna (Master). Alongside my studies, I started to learn Austrian Sign Language. I am currently working as a clinical psychologist in training under supervision at the Hospital “Barmherzige Brüder” in Vienna - including in the field of therapy with deaf patients - and in a clinical psychological practice. I am part of the Austrian research team of the “De-Sign” project.

I am Deaf and I am a teacher at the School For the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Panorama, Thessaloniki. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education from the Univerisity of Nicosia in Cyprus and I have participated in numerous seminars and training courses. I am an active member of the greek Deaf community from a young age and I have worked as a teacher of Greek Sign Language for adults. I am the representative of the Deaf Club EKVE for the "De-Sign" project in all partner meetings and I am responsible for the social media dissemination of the project.

I am the founder and was the first Diretor of the Deafness Cognition and Language Research Centre at University College London. My areas of research interest include the linguistics of sign languages, the neurobiology of sign language, and acquired impairments in signers of British SIgn Language (BSL), including stroke, Parkinson's disease and dementia. My colleagues and I have developed a number of BSL, English, and cognition assessment tools for use with deaf children and adults, including the BSL Cognitive Screen (BSL-CS) the first in the world developed and normed on signers of BSL aged 50-90. In partnership with researchers in other countries, a number of adaptations of the BSL-CS into other sign languages have been designed or are currently under development

I am clinical psychologist and in 2020 i completed a course in austrian sign language. Now i am working at the Hospital Barmherzige Brüder Vienna with the departement for the deaf and hard of hearing.

My name is Doris Hoffmann-Lamplmair and I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist. I completed my doctorate at the Medical University of Vienna in the field of clinical neuroscience. During my psychology studies I started to learn sign language and I am delighted to be able to make my contribution to the care of the Deaf at the Krankenhaus Barmherzige Brüder in Vienna.

My name is Athanasia - Lida Dimou (Nassia) and I hold a PhD in Theoretical, Descriptive and Computational Linguistics and an MA in Experimental Phonetics from the University Paris 7 – Denis Diderot and a BA in Greek Philology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2009 I have been working as a Research Associate at the Institute for Language & Speech Processing / “Athena” R.C. and have participated in several R&D projects, national and European, focusing on the phono-morphological processing, analysis and synthesis in Sign and spoken languages. I have been working on the development of tools, resources and corpora for spoken and sign languages and their implementation in the fields of assistive technologies. I have long experience in designing and conducting experimental protocols and linguistic research in sign and spoken language data. My research is oriented towards the development of technologically enhanced applications for the Greek sign language, and the enhancement of sign language processing techniques (design and implementation) in various linguistic levels of analysis.

I'm an Electrical Engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) with a major in Biomedical Engineering and Informatics, received from the faculty of Informatics and automation from the Technical University of Ilmenau. I also hold a specialization degree on radiation protection. I hold a MSc. degree on the fields of ""Linguistic technologies"", from the University of Athens and Technical University of Athens. My thesis was: ""Authorship attribution of tweets in modern Greek language."". Since 2007 I have been working as a research associate at the Institute for Language and Speech Processing (ILSP) / Athena RC. I participated on various European and National projects which resulted to project related publications. Over the years, our team developed tools and resources for the Greek Sign Language."

My research interests include cultural and museum accessibility, sign language linguistics, deaf education, and European disability policies. With over 14 years of experience, I specialize in the development and management of European projects.
